Stine Goya is excited to announce plans for Autumn Winter 2019. With the mainline collection inspired by Truman Capote’s Black & White ball, the Autumn Winter 2019 show was made as a special performance during Copenhagen Fashion Week, focusing on a capsule collection consisting of show looks made entirely from sustainably sourced materials.
“We are so happy to be able to showcase the same range of design and craftsmanship in our showpieces, whilst using sustainable materials and means of production.”
The capsule designs will encompass the possibilities for the future of fashion, and how creation can continue to evolve whilst considering one’s impact on the
immediate environment. With a consideration for each element of every look, the research demonstrates a wealth of techniques that uphold Stine Goya’s recognisable designs.
Floor length sweeps of peace silk - woven only from the empty cocoons of silkworms - form the body of dresses, signature Stine Goya prints are created with single process digital printing without the need for water use, and looks are dusted with a smattering of recycled (and recyclable) PET sequins. Tailoring fabrics have been crafted from hemp and silk certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard, linings appear in recycled polyester mix, and buttons crafted from recycled mineral shell powder are a finishing touch.
The collection was presented during Copenhagen Fashion Week on January 30th 2019.
